Olopatadine selectively blocks histamine H1 receptor and stabilizes mast cells. Thus it prevents histamine binding to its receptors and inhibits mast cell degranulation & histamine release.


Alleloc Sterile Eye Drops: Each ml contains Olopatadine Hydrochloride USP equivalent to Olopatadine 1 mg.


Alleloc is indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of allergic conditions of the anterior segment of the eye.

Dosage and administration

Instill one drop in the affected eye (s) twice daily.

Side effects

Mild transient burning or stinging, blurred vision, cold syndrome, foreign body sensation, hyperaemia, headache and pharyngitis.


For topical (ophthalmic) use only. Instillation of eye drops may cause transient blurring of vision. Caution should be taken when driving or operating machinery if blurred vision is experienced


Contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to Olopatadine Hydrochloride or any other component of the preparation.

Drug interactions

Interactions with other drugs have not been established.

Use in pregnancy and lactation

Pregnancy: There is no adequate and well–controlled studies in pregnant women. Olopatadine should be used during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.

Lactation: It is not known whether Olopatadine passes into breast milk. However, caution should be exercised when olopatadine is administered to a nursing mother.

Use in pediatric

Safety and effectiveness in children under the age of 3 years have not been established.

Pharmaceutical precautions

Store at 4O to 30O C temperature. Keep out of the reach of children. Should be dispensed only on the prescription of a registered physician. Close the bottle immediately after use. Do not use for longer than one month after opening the bottle.
